We Give Thanks

It’s a small celebration at Happy Mama Acre this year, and we’re not complaining.  Close family and our best friends, plus a few friends planning to drop by for a cocktail…or two.

With less hustle and bustle to the day, it give us a bit more time to be grateful and reflect on the wonderfulness of barnyard life.

We are grateful for good times.

They love playing king of the mountain.

We are grateful for good friends.

Although there is always a fence between them, they've got each other's back.

We are grateful for someone waiting for us when we get home.

Hey lady! I've missed you! Where ya been? Glad you're back!

We are grateful for full tummies.

Hey! I found an apple!

Hey guys! I found an apple!

Good for you! The man is giving us some, too!

We are grateful for the roof over our heads.

Especially in the winter!

We are grateful for a snuggle at the end of a long day.

Awwww.

Awwww.

So from our family—furry and feathered, two-legged and four—we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Ready and waiting!

  1. We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in Europe but having many American friends, I’ve learned to use the day to take time to reflect on all the good things in life – even though life might seem very hard at times. Hoping you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day, Joan, and thank you, for your wonderful writing and for sharing your barnyard with us.
